Hey Dolvin Families,

It is time for one of our favorite giving opportunities! Socktober is a yearly sock-giving event that takes place in October to help others in need. Now through October 15th, you have a chance to donate new socks in any size that your child can bring to their homeroom teacher. There will be a friendly competition between classrooms and grade levels, so look for weekly totals. LET'S SHOW OUR SUPPORT AND HAVE FUN AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Calling All Dolvin Dolphins

Please help North Fulton Community Charities keep local families warm this winter! It is time to clean out our closets and donate new or gently worn (clean, ready to wear) coats and winter accessories to families in need.

Please send donations to school with your child. Collection bins will be located by the Jones Bridge / Front Office Entrance. Please have your child drop off donations to their grade level bins (PreK+K, 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th).

The grade level with the highest participation for the Winter Coat Drive and the Thanksgiving Food Drive will be awarded extra recess and a treat!

Globetrotter Club

Globetrotter Club is an optional geography program that is entirely online on Teams. Students will study monthly lists (itineraries) and take a Kahoot! during Passport Check at the end of the month to see if they mastered their list. Prizes are awarded monthly after they take the Kahoot.

Dolvin PTA's Annual Tanner Family Portrait Event!!!

Sessions will occur on Friday, October 15, and Sunday, October 17, 2021. They are tentatively scheduled to occur outdoors at MILL CREEK POND, 30000 Mill Creek Avenue, Alpharetta. Purchasers receive one 11x14 family portrait courtesy of Tanner Family Portraits with your $30 payment to Dolvin PTA.

Purchasers will be emailed to schedule your exact appointment time upon receiving your order. Appointments are first come first serve. All sessions will be held outdoors this season.

-A $30 non-refundable donation secures an appointment time.
-The offer is limited to one per family each fall season.
-The complimentary 11x14 photo is the family pose and Tanner reserves the right to select the pose.
-Neighbors, friends, and pets are welcome to participate.

In case of inclement weather, Tanner will offer one make up session to each scheduled family at a future date (a Thursday or Friday evening.) Tanner will waive the nonrefundable $15.00 hold fee for the 1st make up session. If the families miss or need to reschedule a second makeup session, the nonrefundable $15 reschedule fee will apply to hold any future appointments. If a family needs to cancel a session due to sickness or quarantine, please contact Tanner directly and it will be handled on a case by case basis.

Drake Irish Dance

The Drake School welcomes children ages 3 through adults to experience the JOY of Irish Dance! Drake Dancers enjoy performing at local festivals & parades. Competitions range from Beginner to Open Champions at local, national and international competitions. The Drake School has a long history dancers qualified for the North American & World Championships!

Come try a month of class for FREE! Irish Dancing is wonderful exercise for children. It exercises them physically and mentally. Dance develops critical parts in children's brains, bodies and CONFIDENCE. Irish Dance is not just for people of Irish Descent. Irish Dance is VERY inclusive and enjoys popularity around the world. Our studio has maintained a high level of safety with health protocols in place. Come see what all the NOISE is about!
